vintage Onondaga Pottery Syracuse China green brown band ironstone trinket tray of small plate for soap dish

Rustic brown and green band OP Co restaurant ware ironstone plate, an oval about 6" across. This is like a very tiny platter - for pats of butter, or something similar?

I think it would be great for soap, or to hold jewelry or other little objects. It's almost 100 years old, and does show scratching and finish wear. No chips or cracks.
