vintage Paul Reed Magic Leaf tarnish remover silver cleaner, metal leaf shape gadget to clean silverware

Mid century vintage 'Magic Leaf' made to remove tarnish from silverplate silverware. I've never tried this, but have been told it's intended to go into a dishpan with the silverware, with soap or detergent. I guess maybe deposits form on the leaf, as it's marked Scour Often on the back. This was made or marketed by Paul Reed Inc, Charlevoix Michigan. Color is a dull aluminum gray, I'm not sure what this metal is, or if it's worn - or if that's just what it was like when it was made.
