vintage Portugal pottery huge soup tureen, ladle & platter, Bordallo Pinheiro green leaf

80s or 90s vintage Bordallo Pinheiro ceramic tureen with lid and ladle and matching platter underplate in the classic green color, majolica style design with leaves and acorn finial. Or maybe cabbage leaf with a bud, and not oak leaves and acorn at all?

We've never found a tureen of this size, and never found a Portugal pottery ladle ever! We love this set, it's very impressive, and the design works well all year round.

This is marked for the Bombay Company, and Made in Portugal - no Bordallo Pinheiro mark, though it's typical of their work in every way.

The tureen measures 15 1/2" across the handles, and about 18 1/2" long over the platter. There's noticeable crazing to the glaze, but no chips, cracks or staining. It's a beautiful set.
