vintage Switzerland carved wood wall pocket box w/ hand painted folk art flowers

Old hand painted wood wall box with a spoon carved edge detail. It's about 8" tall overall, box about 5 1/2" deep.

This isn't marked or signed that we could see... we've been told this was Swiss, though it looked Russian to us! It's European or Eastern European for certain, and a very pretty piece of folk art whatever its origins.
