vintage blue spatter spongeware crock w/ lid, maple leaf Western stoneware small canister or spoon holder

Vintage Western stoneware pottery crock with lid, blue sponged pattern, stamped with the maple leaf on the bottom.

It's a perfect size for a spoon holder (see photo, spoon not included) or a handy small canister jar for your pantry or kitchen. Measures 5 3/4" tall to the top of the lid.

This is clean inside and out, no scratching or staining. There's a small flat chip on the inside rim of the lid, probably a makers flaw, I think.
