vintage brass spoons, set of large soup spoons w/ fiddleback shape handles, antique colonial style

These beautiful old gold brass spoons are something of a mystery to me - I have not been able to track down a maker or any other information about them, although they are clearly marked.

The hallmark is a horse head inside a double ring circle or oval, with a crown at the top of this medallion. I believe these are probably European, though I am not sure of the age. They are well made, not at all clunky - finely finished though not absolutely identical. A nice patina without tarnish. 1800s? early 1900s? I just don't know.

These are the large, old fashioned style soup spoons, about as large as a mid 20th century vintage serving spoon. Though carefully cared for, they've been used and do show some light wear. A lovely set, I wish I knew more about them.
