vintage busts of Brahms & Schubert great composers classical alabaster white marble statues

Pair of vintage statues for library or music room - a bust of Schubert and a bust of Brahms, both about 7" tall.

These look to us like worn and pitted Italian alabaster, though they might be some sort of a heavy composition? We did not see markings on either, though we didn't remove the felts on the bases.
