vintage ceramic chicken, tall young rooster figurine, country carnival prize

I like the wistful expression of this young rooster, a little different than most of the vintage roosters I see. This is a luster painted ceramic piece, quite large at about 9 1/2" tall. Looks like a carnival prize to me, very retro!
