vintage chihuahua dog china figurine, hand painted ceramic dog in hat & serape

Cute little (fierce looking!) chihuahua, about 3 1/2" tall. Looks like 'Made in Japan', though I couldn't find any marks. The china looks good, though the paint has a little wear and cracking.
