vintage deadstock DMC brilliant lustre (pearl cotton) crochet thread in ecru Art 981
more photos of this product belowVintage DMC lustre cotton thread for knit or crochet, new old stock in the original box. There's six balls 200 meters each here, all of the same dye lot. This color is called ecru, it's a deep ivory color with a good luster.
I'm not sure exactly how old this box of thread is. The labels and box are French / English, and although the thread is perfect (no discoloration to labels, or thread under labels) the box itself is browned with a stripe where there once was a wrapper.
This is made in Columbia, but that doesn't seem unusual for something like this. South American cotton is some of finest in the world, and there doesn't seem to be much if any pearl type cottons made in the USA for years now.
I have a couple of boxes all in the same dye lot, nice for lace making or doilies, or a big project like a tablecloth!
