vintage deer hides, tanned leather chamois color buckskin for gloves, moccasins, leatherworking

Lot of FIVE full grain tanned deer hides (over 5 pounds altogether). This is very soft pliable leather for sewing gloves, moccasins, costumes for historical re-enactors etc.. You could sew a tunic or vest or a skirt, it's comfortable against the skin, and drapes well. The dyed colors vary, as shown.

The photos are of the actual hides in this lot - as you can see in the pictures, there's quite a bit of variation in size and shaping, and natural condition. All are nice and clean, full hides.

All are tanned by a commercial tannery in Berlin Wisconsin, very well known for leather for jackets and coats. This is lovely stuff, quality deerskin leather is hard to find these days.
