vintage electric palm sander, 1950s red bakelite woodworking power tool

mid century electric vibrating power sander or polisher... red industrial bakelite with a steel carrying and storage case. This is a WEN Super Power model 303 and it's marked with a US patent from 1954. It runs well.

There's some wear and scratching to the bakelite and minor damage to the felt pad on the sanding foot, as well as a drip of paint and some rust to the storage box.
