vintage elegant glass banana bowl, low stand art deco shape, topaz amber color

When I first saw this piece, I thought it was probably Fostoria Fairfax, in amber. The color and shape seem right, but I can't find any mention anywhere of a Fostoria amber piece of this type, etched or plain.

It's a lovely thing, anyway! Gorgeous color. And without question American made elegant glass, early to mid-century vintage. No makers marks, of course.

This measures about 12" the length of the bowl. Condition is excellent, a few light scratches but no real signs of wear. We think it would be nice for a desk to hold papers, or as a centerpiece to hold flowers or greenery.
