antique fern stand, tortoise shell bamboo low plant table 1890s vintage

Very old bamboo plant stand with striped burned wood finish to imitate tortoise shell, 1890s or very early 1900s. It's 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" across the table top, and stands 15" tall.

The wood top is wide open, but the frame and legs are sturdy. It would make a lovely piece to hold a tray for a table top just as it is, or could probably be restored with a new top.
