vintage hand painted paper dresser box, greeting card style candy box for gloves or hankies

Vintage (1930s - 50s, not sure of the exact age here!) chocolate box type dresser box, hand painted, with crocheted edges. This has a little damage to one corner (see photos), but it's nice and clean inside and out. So pretty.
