Mid-century vintage metal box like a little lunchbox, originally intended to hold a first aid kit for the Illinois Division of Highways, lid is marked as shown.

This is much worn, with many layers of old paint, and blistered interior (what do they put in those first aid kits?!) It's been out of commission for a long time now, but the latch works fine, and we love that little handle.

Box measures about 5" x 4 3/4" x 2 1/2" overall, and is heavy steel like a real tool box, though it's so small. A great old piece with vintage industrial style - they don't make stuff like this any more.
