1930s or 40s vintage match safe - this is made to hold a large box of the wood matches, with slots to strike the matches along the box.
It's all metal, with very worn green paint, crusty and rusty. Perfect to hang on the wall just as it is - wouldn't this make a great piece to hold a little bunch of flowers?
