vintage novelty joke toy, exploding snake in a can, can of nuts w/ pop out spring snake

Vintage novelty gag, a very realistic can of nuts with a very fake snake inside! (It's kind of embarrasing to admit how many of us here were taken in by this trick, suffice it to say that it's at 100% snake, humans 0%.)

The can has a rattle like a couple of pieces inside which completes the trick - everyone who saw it opened it to see inside. The snake spring is strong and very bouncy even with a few rips to the plastic, it jumped almost as high as the people who saw it!

Can is pocket sized, 3 1/2" tall.
