vintage pottery garlic keeper crock, primitive country stoneware style blue brown band

1980s vintage stoneware crock to hold garlic (or even onions, this is a big one, 6" in diameter x 4 1/2" deep). It's made in Taiwan for Lillian Vernon, but has a nice old fashioned look for a primitive or vintage country style kitchen.

It's made with a loose fitting lid (no gasket) and holes in the lid for air circulation. Good garlic is so expensive these days, it's great to be able to store it in top condition. And this is just what you need if you're a garlic fancier who grows and harvests their own garlic!

This has a little glaze crazing, but inside is clean and nice. There's a few old soil marks to the unglazed bottom of the pot.
