vintage punched tin candle lamp, metal lantern primitive colonial toleware

Vintage punched metal candle lamp, a 20th century piece made in a 18th century style! This is steel, with a tin colored finish.

And it was originally made to hold an electric light instead of a real candle (see photos for the hole where the cord ran at the bottom back). The wiring has been removed and you could easily put a candle or battery candle in this piece.

Ths measures about 10 1/2" tall overall, nice and clean, rust free inside and out. The little door hinges and latch work well, too.
