vintage pure linen pillowcase, whitework embroidery G monogram, french country style

Lovely old white linen pillow case with hand embroidered scallop edging, and script letter G monogram. This is early to mid 20th century vintage, straight out of a rural Illinois estate.

It measures 34 1/2" x 22 1/2", quite large, nice for a big puffy pillow.

This doesn't look as though it's had much if any use, though has a few light marks to the fold lines and light iron marks from pressing. (Not us! We didn't iron this, or attempt to remove the marks at all.)
