vintage red M mark Noritake china pancake server or round butter dish w/ dome cover

1920s or 30s vintage Noritake - Japan Field Stone pattern china butter dish or pancake server. (I've always thought these round dishes with small domes are butter dishes, but people keep on telling me they're pancake dishes. Use it for either, pancakes and butter would share a dish very nicely, I think!)

This measures 4" across the china insert, and about 7 1/4" across the rim of the dish. There's a tiny fleabite chip to the rim of the dish, but aside from that, everything looks very good.
