vintage red stripe grain sack flax linen towels, french country kitchen linens

Lot of beautiful old flax linen kitchen towels, rough grain sack type fabric with the red stripe at the border. There's eight towels in this lot, two different styles.

There's six towels with the narrow stripe, size 34" x 17". These are all unused, though they have lots of foxing and browning. Fabric is crisp with a lovely sheen.

There's two towels with the wide striped border, size 34" x 19 1/2". These are washed linen, used (one towel has a hole). Also browned, these have been stored away for around 80-90 years!
