vintage wood matryoshka dolls, nesting figures family of hand painted owls

Five nesting owls, matryoshka style, hand painted wood. The largest owl is about 6" tall.

They have a little wear, mostly to the painted finish. They're not marked that we could see, so I'm not sure where they were made, or their exact vintage!
