antique faience glaze yellow ware pottery teapot, ocean blue w/ embossed ferns

Very old pottery tea pot with wood and heavy twisted wire handle (the handle is rigid, and does not fold down to the side). This isn't marked with a maker, or country or origin, but we'd guess the vintage to be 1870s or early 1880s.

The pot measures 8 1/2" tall to the top of the wooden handle. There are a few chips to the inside rim of the teapot, and many, many chips to the rim of the lid, inside and out. This looks fairly nice overall, though - no chips to the spout, and the pot is water tight, without cracks. We love the beautiful teal-sea green color!
