faux french bronzes, pair of vintage cast spelter cavalier figures, antique gold finish

Cast spelter or pot metal statuary pieces, early to mid century vintage, a pair of cavaliers with an antiqued gold finish. These measure 13 1/2" tall, neither is marked with a maker that we can find.

We think these were made just as statues originally, as they have no holes except the the mold releases. But they would make a nice set of lamp bodies with a separate rod run behind them, if mounted on a wood or marble base.
