antique oval wood picture frames, portrait frame pair w/ 1860s vintage paper label

Pair of 1860s vintage oval wood frames, no glass, a little shabby, but a lovely matched pair all the same! We were delighted to find the nice old paper label on the back... it's not often we have a pair of antique frames where the age can clearly be determined.

The frames measure 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" over the oval openings, 8" x 10" over the squared area to hold a glass, and 12 1/4" x 14" overall. The finish is original, but worn, and there's chipping to the gesso decoration. Otherwise they're very nice, in good solid condition.
