blue and white porcelain large chunky owl figure, wide eyed owl statue

I fell in love with this very large baby owl figure - owls! - blue and white! from the moment I saw him, but I don't know very much about this piece.

First I was told it was vintage (maybe 25 years old), then I was told it was a piece from Cracker Barrel. I love Cracker Barrel, but I've never seen this piece in person anyplace. Cracker Barrel, tell me when you're going to have owls!

Owl is very heavy, with a fat chunky shape. Measures about 8 1/2" tall. Condition is excellent, no damage or wear.
