One antique aqua blue glass canning jar with the embossed 1858 patent date, and vintage zinc lid. It's a two quart jar in the slope shoulder shape.

We wouldn't suggest using this for canning, as there's some roughness and chipping to the rim of the jar... but it's fine for a canister, or for refrigerator pickles etc. which aren't sealed.
