antique early aluminum camping pot & lid w/1910 patent date
more photos of this product belowAntique vintage aluminum camping pot with an aluminum lid and steel toggle clamps to hold the lid down. The lid has four steel toggles for clamping the lid down to the pot and a small vent under the steel handle to allow the steam to escape. The lid is also stamped "American Cooker No 70" with a US Patent date from 1910. This is an early period for aluminum, so we're guessing that it was made for early automobile camping.
This pot measures about 9" across the inside and 8.125" deep. It holds about 8.5 quarts and has wear and some discoloration from used and age.
