primitive antique make do sewing chest drawers, finger jointed wood box thread cabinet

Early 1900s vintage sewing box made from a wood packing crate with finger joint dovetails and a couple of cedar wood drawers. It's varnished and spotted with old paint remains, this piece has had a long and interesting past, I think!

The box measures 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 5 3/4" overall, and is packed full of about 70 old wood spools, some full of sewing thread, some empty or nearly empty. It's been used as a thread cabinet for about 80 years now, and we've left it just as we found it.
