old Singercraft Singer sewing machine rug making tool w/ patterns / instructions

Large lot of vintage 'Singercraft' instructions and pattern leaflets and magazine / newspaper clippings about the same... as well at the tool to use with an old Singer sewing machine. We think this is complete, but we don't completely understand how it works, and have no sewing machine that this will fit, in order to try it out! It does look like a neat little gadget.
