30s vintage Singer Sewing Machine sewing basket lot, tool & measuring tape

Vintage sewing basket accessories lot... a Singer Sewing machine folding tool with a blade for ripping seams & stitches and cutting buttonholes and a tool for threading the sewing machine needle. It is marked with a US patent number from 1937. We think that this might have been a accessory for industrial Singer sewing machines or perhaps it had to be bought separately, as we see lots of old Singer sewing machines, but have seldom see this tool before.

There is also an new-old-stock fabric measuring tape for sewing. It is still wrapped in the foil label with the original price sticker. We're not sure of the exact vintage of this, but the original price was 25 cents.
