little lamb planter for baby or Easter, vintage USA pottery - McCoy?

Old unmarked USA pottery planter, a little lamb, 40s or 50s vintage. It measures about 7" x 7 1/2".

This has a few soil remains from use, but no cracks, just a few small roughnesses or fleabites to the rim. There's only traces of the original cold paint decoration remaining, but the glazed finish is nice and glossy without rubbing or dulling.
