Tibetan copper brass handcrafted coffee pot w/ dragons and elephants hammered wrought metal art

Huge copper and brass coffee pot (almost 15" tall overall), all hand wrought copper and brass. We were told this is from Tibet - it has dragon heads and Indian elephants, very elaborately detailed. I'm not sure if this would be safe to use for making or holding coffee, it looks like a decorative piece to me I think.
