brass pocket sextant, vintage reproduction navigation instrument Stanley London 1917

Vintage reproduction pocket sextant with a solid brass threaded case. This measures about 3" across and 1 5/8" deep. It is marked on the case Stanley London 1917.

We believe this is a working reproduction, although we don't know how to work a sextant or take a sighting. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship, but we don't recommend using it for actual navigation.
