shabby old German stoneware crock, Gerz Conservenkrug preserves jar

Vintage German crockery preserves or pickle jar, stamped Gerz Conservenkrug. It's about 5" in diameter at the bottom and 6" tall.

We have no cover or stopper for this piece, which doesn't much matter as this will never hold food again... it's chipped all over, and there are exterior cracks which look serious.
