artist signed vintage bird print, doves on a branch / Rene Heflin

Framed under glass print of doves on a branch, signed Rene Heflin (we think?). We've not been able to find out anything at all about this artist, and though it's inscribed from the artist to a friend who lived in Illinois, the owner traveled widely, moved many times, and had friends from all over the world - so we can't even pinpoint the general origins of this piece for you, sorry!

The frame is a lovely thing, too, ornate gold, probably Italian? It measures 13" x 10 3/4" overall, and both the frame and the print are in execellent condition.
