ornate vintage carved wood frame, florentine or spanish gold w/ flax linen

We love this beautiful frame, carved wood with antique gilt finish, and attached flax linen covered rigid bevel (a mat for your artwork).

It's not marked at all the we could find, but we're inclined to believe it's probably from Italy or Spain, the craftsmanship is far superior to the more rustic styled Mexican handcraft pieces we've seen.

It measures 8" x 11 1/2" over the picture area, and 15" x 18" overall. There's no glass, just the frame as shown.
