Very old, very worn, very loved china biscuit barrel, 1800s vintage. No makers marks, though it's probably English. Measures about 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" overall. It has no lid.

This is crazed and very browned and stained inside and out, with a noticeable repair to the foot. The metal handle and rim was probably silver plated originally, but there's no silver remaining, it's been polished down to the base metal.

The blue color is lovely, so English. And it wears its almost 200 years of age with grace, I think. A really beautiful old piece, tons of character here.
