Very beautifully handwoven tablecloth or coverlet, linen or linen / cotton homespun. Probably all linen, I think. This is a nice early piece, mid 19th century. It's out of an estate in Wisconsin - I know no history of this beyond that (sorry!)
It measures 76" long x 50" wide (no join down the center), with irregularly fringed ends. Fabric is nice and supple, but terribly spotted and discolored. I've left this just as I found it, and have not washed it.
