antique bentwood wood sewing machine cover / case for early 1900s vintage sewing machine

Antique early 1900s vintage storage and travel carrying case for a sewing machine, with the bent wood cover. We don't know what make or model of sewing machine this was made to fit, though we'd guess probably a Singer. The case measures 15" x 7" over the open area to hold the sewing machine, and 19 1/2" long over the outside of the box.

The original finish looks bad, but it's in good solid condition overall... we seldom find these old sewing machine covers this nice. There's a heavy iron handle at the top, and original hardware only slightly rusted.
