rustic antique vintage shingling hatchet with a tomahawk style head. This hatchet was made for putting up split wood shingles. It has a hatchet blade for splitting the shingles to width, an octagonal hammer pole for driving the nails and a notch in the blade for pulling misplaced nails.
This measures 11 1/2" long over the handle and 5 1/2" across the head. This has weathering to the handle and a number of screws and nails have been used over the years to tighten the handle.
