Dorothy Thorpe wide silver band glass salad or potato chips bowl, mid-century mod vintage

Vintage Dorothy Thorpe silver band glass bowl, about 10 3/4" x 5 3/4" overall. This has a little tarnish and spotting to the rim, though shows very little wear. I think it's a salad bowl, but it would be great for chips or other party snacks!
