Very large ornately patterned vintage silver plate tray or platter, probably made as a wedding gift, many years ago.
The hallmark is E G Webster (of Webster - Wilcox fame), Brooklyn New York. I'm not sure of the exact age, roughly turn of the century - I'd guess about 1910.
It's silver over copper (copper and verdigris visible all over this piece, where the silver plate is worn, polished away or scratched). Condition is poor, but this has such a lovely and unusual border - I've never seen this pattern before.
This measures about 20 1/4" long and 15 3/8" wide overall.
