Beautiful old serving dish with cover, Utopian pattern, Henry Alcock & Co England. It's a potato bowl or similar, about 9" across the handles.
This is 'semi-porcelain', not true ironstone. But I LOVE the sweet old fashioned cottage style floral and the sepia brown color of the design, and it seems to me perfect that this should be called Utopian.
It's late 1800s or very early 1900s vintage, over a hundred years old. Color is slightly browning, with a little spotting. There's a short tight hairline at the rim of the bowl, no other cracks or any chipping.
