Rare old pressed glass paste pot with side well to hold a brush or applicator. We don't come across this type of specialty bottle very often, and this is a very nice example, without chipping or mineral deposits to the jar.
The bottom of the jar is embossed Diamond Ink Company, with the same 1897 and 1901 patent dates as the lid. It's about 2 3/4" tall overall.
The lid is a loose 'set on top' type, does not screw onto the jar, neither piece was made that way. It has noticeable wear to the paint, as shown - but looks structurally sound, no bending, rusting or holes.
