Vintage silver over copper canister, a tea caddy or tobacco jar, we think?
It's hallmarked on the bottom, but we haven't been able to track down the
maker... we'd guess probably European, possibly Dutch or German? We couldn't
hazard a guess as to the age.
This shows the copper under the silver plate in a few areas where it's been polished or rubbed away. It's different detailed designs (a child, a castle, a cottage...) on each panel, and stands about 6" tall to the top of the lid. The jar measures about 3" x 3".
