antique iridescent luster glass marmalade jar, silver over copper Deykin England hallmarks

Beautiful antique iridescent glass marmalade jar with hand painted enamel detail, silver plated cover and base with tiny bun feet. The jar measures 3 3/4" deep, and the entire piece measures 6" tall to the top of the lid.

This is silver over copper, marks are D & S or Deykin & Sons, English made, late 1800s vintage. The silver plate is very dark and dull with tarnish, we haven't cleaned it at all.

The glass jar looks very good, little finish wear, paint looks good. My photos don't show the soap bubble colored luster off to its best, sorry.
