metro retro style red & black checkers kitchen range set, vintage Japan hand painted ceramic

We love this vintage Japan ceramic kitchenware set, smart and modern and oh so 50s! The oval box is probably a grease or drippings jar, and the shakers are jumbo size salt and pepper 4 3/4" tall.

These pieces all have crazing and browned discoloration from age and use. There's small chips here and there to all of it, and the drippings container has a star hairline crack to the bottom.
